Carbon-14 consists of 14 photographs of used carbon paper that is worn out and scratched. The written marks on these papers are random since they have been collected in their discarded form (having no interventional procedures performed on them). The work’s title refers to the number of photographs that compose it and the use of carbon-14 in carbon dating.
