The series title is a reference to ‘Place without shadow’ (Narrioch), a name given by the indigenous people who originally lived in Coney Island (New York). For many years, this island was a kind of Manhattan’s mirror, where the architectonic and entertainment experiments were made as if this island (Coney) was an experimental version of the other one (Manhattan).
(During the last century, Coney Island became a place dedicated to entertainment, where the excess of artificial light in the amusement parks made it a place without shadow for real).
