A series of Brazilian maps are cut out following the longitudinal and latitudinal lines. The action registered in the video is a reaction to a Cartesian system that influenced the world’s cartographic representation.



The soundtrack is mounted as a mosaic of sound footages, suggesting the structure of collage. It simulates a realistic soundtrack of the cutting performance, but it is a constructed sound.
