The Sheltering Sky

In The Sheltering Sky a text from a page of the homonym book is glued to the wall and descends to the floor while, above it, there is a black page that partially hides the text – as if the text had come loose and fallen from the wall to the floor underneath the page.

A series of works related to this specific book was created together with The Sheltering Sky, such as Horizon (2008), a photograph shows one of the book’s pages slightly curved which encounters another horizon, the meeting of sea and sky, and Untitled (letters on the wall), where columns of letters are placed as if they were entering the wall.
